Christmas Time!

Wow! It has been ages since my last post. We are doing good, today is Kylan's last day of school until Jan. 6th and she is so excited to be getting out for the Holidays. I am on the other hand I am not ready for Christmas I still have shopping to do, wrapping, and making some special gifts from Kylan. But we have every night next week to get it done, and I think I will have time. If not the gift bags are coming out. Which wrapping everything was my goal this year, but sometimes plans change, and I have learned in my many years to just roll with it. This year's Christmas list to Santa includes a Hannah bike, and Reborn baby, DS Game, jackets, pants, and sweaters, oh yeah and just recently added Ugg boots. Kylan did write a letter to Santa and she told him she had been so good she could be the Angel on top of the Christmas tree. Amazing right! Where does she get these one liners. Well in case I do not get back on here before Christmas. Kylan and I wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Jesus is the reason for the Season!

Another Monday!

Well today is another Monday for us. Up and at'em bright and early this morning. Making sure we straighten up our house so if we have a potential showing, everything is ready to go. I can tell it is getting hard for Kylan, she likes to drag out and play, leave stuff behind and come back to it hours later, and that is just not possible when you have your home on the market and you might get a call for a showing while you are on the other side of town. She is trying though, and I am proud of her for that. We road around again looking, in neighborhoods and still keep going back to the same neighborhood. I am praying our house has a buyer out there, and will bless us soon. I would love for my baby to have friends to play with this summer. Please pray this will happen and we find exactly what we need to replace our home.

New Chapters!

So Kylan and I have have decided to begin a new chapter in our lives. We have decided to sell our house and move. Though it will not be a huge move, we plan on staying in Trussville. It is still a HUGE decision. We listed our house last night with long time friend Allan Kennamer, of RealtySouth. I am praying our house will sell quickly so Kylan and I can start this new journey. We are looking for a kid friendly neighborhood, where Kylan can grow up playing with kids she goes to school with, and enjoying the simple things in life, like riding your bike with friends, spot light at dark, friends who live near by spending the night. All the fun things I had as a child, that I want to give to her. I have always heard the saying you always want more for your children than you had. I don't know if that is possible, my childhood was FANTASTIC! I lived in a house full of love, laughter, and fun. I know I am providing those 3 things to Kylan everyday, but I also lived in the best place in the world thanks to my parents, and I want Kylan to have the experience of living around kids her own age, and doing those things. So with that our home is for sale, and we are excited to see where God will lead us to live, when our house sells and we move.

Same as before!

Well as all my usual post start... We have been so busy the past few weeks. We had a softball game last night and lost again, Bless their little hearts, they try but it has just not gone their way. I can say I am ready for ball to be over, it is just 2 days a week, but since it has turned off cold, I am not enjoying sitting in the cold night air. We have purchased Kylan's Halloween costume and she is going to be a scary ball player, complete with cuts and running blood. Nasty! I know, but what can you do. She had originally planned to be a Hooter Waitress, with lost of make-up, big hair, and painted french nails, but came home from her dad's with a changed mind. Don't really know why but oh well, I guess gross is more fun at this age.
Last weekend Kylan danced at the Pumpkin Patch on Saturday and we had a blast. (all weekend long really) Our weekend started off early, Kylan was out of school on Friday and she came to work with me, on Friday, it was so much fun. Sam had her tons of papers to shred and she loved that, we ran by the Volkswagen dealership to get my head light fixed, and with us being so close to the Thrift Store we had to stop in. Which worked out Great for Kylan. We found some black ball pants, for her Halloween costume,, and for the rest of the Fall Ball season, on sale for .79$ go me! Then she found a Trussville tackle-twill baseball jersey for the top of her costume, and an Alabama Crimson Tide Football jersey for Alabama/Auburn day. We were on thrift store finding fire, as Kylan would say. We did a quick loop through the shoe area and found a bag of baby bottles, which Kylan has been asking for Bottles for a while for her babies. I spent a total of $10.80 and had the happiest child you could imagine. As soon as we got home I had to wash and sterilize bottles. Man I am glad those days are over. I forgot how much I disliked boiling that stuff. But man I had one happy little baby doll mommy right beside me. We stayed in on Friday night and relaxed the weather had turned cold and we wanted no part of getting back out in the cool night air. So we snuggled up together and watched the Disney channel and fed hungry babies with their new bottles.
Saturday was a sleep late morning and relaxing and picking up and doing laundry morning. Then getting ready for our trip to the Pumpkin patch to dance. They put on an hour long show and I think Kylan was in all but about 3 or 4 numbers. She did great and so excited to go on a hay ride to get our Halloween Pumpkins. After the pumpkin patch we rode out to Bass Pro to see Ya-Ya and check out some new things there. Kylan even registered to win a hunting dog, with my luck she will win this 100lbs. dog. At least he is trained, but we don't hunt. Kylan said Uncle Jimmy can borrow him and bring him back home to her if she wins him. Then home to relax again for the evening and watch Alabama Football. Roll Tide!
Slept in on Sunday, I know shame on us, and then scrubbing bathrooms and cleaning glass and mirrors, My little windex helper did a great job. Ran to the Halloween store to get blood, and scrapes for the rest of her costume. So much fun, and then back out to Bass Pro with Peep's in his new truck which Kylan loves, to try on Boots, and pants to add to our list for Santa. After work momma came over to bring Kylan home and ate Italian with us and watched Desperate Housewives with us. I surprised Kylan while she was with my mom I decorated our den with our Halloween stuff she was so excited when she came in. It also helped I had her a surprise. She collects Anna Leigh's and I had her two Halloween Anna Leigh's to add to her collection. They are as cute as she is! So that was our weekend just being busy and enjoying each others company all weekend long.

We WON!!!!!!!!!

Well we have been so busy with everything we have had going on. Monday ball practice. Tuesday ball practice, Wednesday dance, Thursday Dance. So I feel like I am chasing my tail most of the time. Kylan had swine flu week before last. She got sick on Thursday night and we went to the doctor on Friday. Stayed in all weekend and she was well by Monday just like the doctor said. She even went to school on Monday, her choice I was going to let her stay home and rest one more day but she was well and ready to be back in school with her friends.
We had a game last night and the Red Foxes won! We were so excited. Kylan scored one of the 6 runs needed to win! She even has a hurt foot and was able to run it home and score. She is doing so good at ball. I am so very proud of her.
Last weekend I took a couple of days and went to the beach for Thunder Beach! It was so much fun. I relaxed, laid in the sun, rode my bike, ate seafood, and drank a few cold beer. We had so much fun, and I really enjoyed spending time with friends, and making new ones! An adult trip is needed every once in a while to blow off steam and re-energize when you are the one doing it all. But I was so glad to get back home to my sweet baby, she is my life!
The weather finally turned Fall and we are not liking it at our house, but it is what it is and I guess we just need to relax and enjoy it. Congrats again to the Red Foxes and Kylan for their win last night! Love you sweet baby girl! You are so Awesome.

WOW!!! How time flies!

Well it has been forever since my last post. We have just been so busy! Kylan is playing Fall ball and Loving it. They have only had one game but she did good, and loves it. I think she likes the fact everyone comes to watch her. It makes her feel even more special than she already is. School is going good, she is making great grades on her papers, and test, and is really enjoying studying. As a reward for doing her homework and reading each night, I am reading Twlight to her out loud. She is enjoying it so much. She has watched the movie so much, she knows what is coming next. She asked last night is this the chapter where Bella almost gets hit by the van? I can't wait for that part. It is really funny, because she has watched the movie so much she can even quote the book in places. But it is helping her reading as well. When we finished chapter 2 last night she went to her reading room/her classroom and stared re-reading aloud the her baby dolls I.e. her class. I heard her say the temperature was a warm seventy-five degrees, and sunny. And she just keep reading, it was precious. We have our second game tonight and we are hoping it does not get rained out, like practice yesterday. Well her comes another busy week for the Robertson Girls! But man I love my life and my precious baby girl!

A little get away is always good!

Took another little get away this weekend. When Kylan got off the bus we were off to the beach again. Man what a difference 2 days at the beach can make in your attitude. Refreshed, Rested, Relaxed and ready for the week. We got to the beach about 9:00 on Friday night and relaxed around the house. Kylan found 3 kittens who were living at the neighbors, but when she got hold of them and fed them they moved homestead. Only 2 were tame but it didn't stop her from trying to train the third when she could get close to it. It was so funny because you could tell they were all from the same litter but they were small, medium, and large in size. She named the small one Hans, the medium Frans, and the large Peppie. Guess she had the French on her mind. Saturday I went fishing down at Pier Park at 4:00am, I can say in all my years of life last Saturday was my first sunrise at the beach, and wow it was amazing. Caught 4 King Mackerel, super fun, saw at least 3 dozen stingray, and 6 dolphins, one with her baby! Came home slept an hour and off to Wal-Mart and then the beach. Kylan was on the first sandbar and saw a sea turtle super cool, that does not happen often and the turtle swam over really close and stuck her head upout of the water. Stopped in Alvin's Island and Kylan got to hold a 20 pound alligator, scary but neat. The alligator handler gave her one of their bones in their back to keep and she has showed it to everyone. Dinner at Margaritaville, where Kylan laid over and went sound asleep in my lap, never mind there was a band playing when she did this. Spent most of the day Sunday swimming in the pool, and saying good-bye to our new cats, Hope they remember her when we go back. Took Kylan to Dusty's to eat Oysters before heading home, and she won 3 toys out of the claw machine. She plays every time we go there, and always wins last time she won a watch. Had a ball can't wait to do it again. Heading back in a couple of weeks. Wish I lived there, how stress free I would be.

The First Week of School!

We made it! The first full week school was Great! Kylan is loving her teacher, thank you Mrs. Bruno, we think you are Fabulous! She had her first spelling test last Thursday, waiting on the score though fingers crossed she took her time and did as well as she did at home. Kylan also had perfect conduct all week as well. Yeah Tootie! Mommy is proud of you. Kylan is excited about school again, and that is what we were wanting. After last year I didn't know if it was possible to pull her out of the bad place she had gotten into. But is has happened, and thankful I am.
I celebrated my 31st Birthday this past Saturday and it was GREAT! Slept in with my baby snuggled up next to me, (had a headache when I woke up) but worked through it. Cleaned up around the house and mopped the entire house, did some retail therapy with my momma, and Kylan, then laid by the pool for a few hours. Dinner at Bonefish with FANTASTIC company. It was a great day! Thank you everyone. I love each one of you in such a special way, I am blessed to have you in my life.

The First Day of 2nd Grade was GREAT!

Well we made it through our first day of 2nd Grade with flying colors. Kylan loves Mrs. Bruno as much "almost" she says as Ms. McConnell which is saying tons. We got up and had buttered biscuits for breakfast and green kool-aid, brushed our teeth, and got dressed in her cute little outfit and new Nike's. Kylan's backpack is as big as she is but she likes it. It is Hello Kitty pink, purple and all the cool colors little girls love. I had planned ahead and cooked roast, potatoes, and carrots for dinner last night one of Kylan's favorites, so I knew she would eat a good bit and she did not disappoint. We worked and finally got our internet working at home and added a picture to our blog, but as you can see it is huge not really sure how to shrink it yet. Still working on that one, but at least my precious baby's picture is on here now. Once the internet was up and running Kylan was on it as well playing/reading on Star fall and Raz-kids which I was really proud of her for wanting to do. So we added it to her agenda pad for Mrs. Bruno to see and she was excited because she is still wanting to make a good impression and be a favorite in class. Today Kylan is riding the bus home, and she was excited and nervous because she was not sure where to find her bus, but that will all workout too. She has the same driver Coach Burnett who she really likes and he likes her a lot too, he lets her sit in the first seat behind him which is where she wants to be. Funny if you ask me, I always wanted to be in the back of the bus. Kylan even packed her swimsuit in her bag so when she gets home she can swim at Ya-Ya's house this afternoon. She is such a little stinker. Hope today is as good for her as yesterday!

The end of Summer!

Well the end of summer is finally here and it is a sad day for us. No more sleeping in or going to Mee-Mee's or Granny's in our jammies to eat breakfast and play the whole day. Schools stars back tomorrow. It has been so long since my last post but we have just been so busy enjoying the summer and playing ever chance we had. We left last Wednesday evening and spent the rest of the week a the beach, we took Ya-Ya and Rosie and we had the best time. Only one other person being there could have made it a absolutely perfect trip. We had to come home Sunday so we could meet our teacher on Monday.
Kylan had been so nervous, and full of anxiety and wanting to make a good impression, she wanted just herself, momma and daddy (if he could get off work) to go. She said she wanted her teacher to remember her and know who she was and not be distracted by anyone or anything. I think she had it so built up in her head she didn't know what to expect. She has a little friend she knew from her Kindergarten class named Makenzie and also Keaton so that helped easy her nerves about second grade as well. She and Makenzie actually sit across from each other and by the time we left they were holding hands, talking, and telling secrets. Little Girls are the BEST! It was wonderful to see Kylan interact with her teacher, who hugged her several times, which Kylan loved and her teacher spoke to the parents but she was all about the kids which was awesome. Kylan especially likes that her teacher teaches dance something they have in common. I think this year is going to be a GREAT one for Kylan! Good luck to everyone out there starting back to school along with us tomorrow.

Packing up again

Well just as Kylan made it home and settled in for a good week she is heading out again for a week with her dad and his soon to be new family. Another week I dread! I will get a ton done just as I did before but I love having my Tootie right there with me. So I guess we will pack her suitcase tonight, and snuggle as much as we can, so those sweet little hugs and kisses will last me a week. I really thought Kylan would back out of this trip but she didn't or let me say hasn't. But I wish she would, I know that sounds selfish but when someone is with you 98% of the time only leaving to spend the night away for one night twice a month, I week seems like a month. But I plan to finish all the stuff I wanted to do around the house and talk to the realtor. I really want to get Kylan moved to a neighborhood with kids so she has playmates and more wonderful memories of her childhood.

Kylan made it home

Well my precious baby girl made it home from the beach with her dad. She was so glad to see me, Isabell and Rosie. She just hugged me and kissed me, I don't think her feet touched the floor for several hours I carried her around all evening. Isabell was beside herself to have Kylan home again she just looked at her and stayed right beside us, we are luck to have a dog that loves Kylan so much. That dog would do anything for Kylan. It has been a wonderful week with her home but Kylan is supposed to leave again this Saturday for another week and a day. I am not happy about it, I love having my chick in my nest but what can I do? The only thing about this trip is if she gets homesick she will be to far away for me to run go get. But we will see how it goes. So next week more cleaning of my house, and trying to get things in complete order before school starts back.
Speaking of school starting back I had Kylan try on all her blue jeans and my baby has grown so much she could only wear a few pair they were all to short. It was sad to think about how tall she has gotten this past year and summer.
We plan on having the best next 2 days before she goes off again and then I go almost stir crazy waiting on her to get home.
Enjoy your children and the small things that truly matter, don't let people, and problems get between you and the best gift God gives to you.

Time is drawing near

This horrible week is almost over. Kylan comes home to me tomorrow. I am so excited! I can't hardly stand it any longer. I talked to her last night and she is ready to come home to. Only children need their space, and she has had enough play time for a few days. I think I am going to make her a welcome sign so she really knows how bad we all missed her. Poor little Isabell has looked for her every morning and afternoon. It is just not fair to take away our little piece of Sunshine for the week. I wonder what Kylan is going to want to do when she comes home? I am so excited I hope everyone has as wonderful a weekend as I am going to, playing with my baby girl!

Staying Busy!

Well I am doing my best to stay extra busy since my precious baby girl is gone for the week. Sunday night went to church and dinner with Candi. Monday night went to dinner with Candi, Amanda, and my mom then Candi and I walked around Trussville until 10:30pm man I am sore today. Tuesday Clothes are washed and put away, dished washed and put away, bathrooms cleaned, and floors swept and mopped, then went to eat dinner at my momma's house. Man it was so good too, she is the best cook. Tonight dusting and windex windows, mirrors and glass tables and shelves, that is if I do not get home to late from Candi's house. I know I get a tone done when she is gone but man, I wish she was home. I talked to Kylan last night and she was having fun, she had gotten a dolphin henna tattoo on her ankle, and they had swam in the indoor pool since it has been raining, I guess that great tan we had worked on before she left so she wouldn't get burned while away, will be really faded when she gets home. Who really cares though, I am just ready for her to be home with me and the girls. When I talked to Kylan I was at my mom's and Kylan wanted me to go home and call her back so she could talk to Isabell and Rosie our dogs on speaker phone. It was so sweet, to hear her precious little voice call Isabell and talk so sweet. Isabell just wagged her tail and sniffed the phone really hard. It is amazing how much they look for Kylan each day, I am not the only one missing her. Saturday cannot get here fast enough.

4th of July

Kylan and I had a wonderful 4th of July we went to the beach, and stayed at Raccoon River Camp Ground. She loves it there, kids to play with, riding bikes, swimming in the pool, and playing on the play ground. We had a ball. Our friends from Slocomb, Alabama were there to so she got to play with Landon, and she loved that. I had to take her to meet her dad though on Sunday so he could keep her for the week in Orange Beach with his family. I hate this week more than anything. I drove over to Fort Walton to drop her off, then found a new way home for myself, which was really quick. I unloaded the car completely, cleaned out the cooler, washed all the clothes, put up all the other clothes, and straightened Kylan's room and closet all before 5:00pm. I miss that little stinker. I know I can get a ton done, but my gosh I would rather get nothing done and have my little Tootie at home. I went to Church with Candi, then to dinner. I managed to stay away from home until 9:30pm and then to bed immediately, and up at 6:40am and out the door by 7:30am just to keep from missing her so much. I am patiently awaiting my phone call from her today. I know I want to talk to her, but I also know it is going to upset me to. It is so amazing how my life revolves around hers so much. Kylan I love you and cannot wait for you to come home.

What a week!

Well it has been in interesting week, since Kylan's Birthday. She turned 7 and as I stated before she wanted Hooter's for her Birthday dinner, and you know she got it. She and I and every Hooter girl in the place celebrated with her. She got Jonas Brother's Concert tickets and said if she was not in Hooter's she would scream. Then on Saturday when we were celebrating with family we told her she also had Miley Cyrus tickets. She was so thrilled, but worried about how loud it would be. I will have to take ear plugs for her, just in case.
My Uncle Craig fell and has been in the hospital in Pensacola, with a head injury, so I have been keeping a caring bridge site for him and my family. www.caringbridge.org then CraigBoyle no spaces once on the site. Please feel free to sign his guestbook words of encouragement are helping. It has been hard work, but it is the least I can do. So i have neglected my on blog.
Kylan and I are planning on going to the beach tomorrow for the 4th of July. Yeah us! It is much needed. Yes we did just get back but stress seems to find me and I need my on little space away from everyone but her so I can have my own melt down time. Unfortunately I will not be bringing Kylan back from the beach with me. I will meet her dad and pass her over for a week. I am so sad and dreading it. What will I do with myself for a week. She is my whole life, my time, my joy, and my heart. How people can be separated from the kids for any amount of time upsets me. I will be a babbling idiot by the time she is home. I know I will cry, while she is gone, and when she gets home, I always do. So if any of you have any special projects you need help with let me know. I am available next week. Call my cell don't look for me at home. I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL and SAFE, Happy 4th of July! Remember why we celebrate it.

Happy Birthday!

Today is the BIG Day! Kylan's 7th Birthday! It is amazing to think back over all the wonderful memories I have stored up. She has been a blessing in my life and I love her so much. Our plan is to go to dinner tonight. I asked her what she wanted and she wants Hooter's, how funny is that. I ordered her a cookie cake with palm trees, just like she wanted and now we just have to open presents, and hear the story of the day she was born, a tradition Kylan has loved since she was little.
Happy Birthday! Tootie Mommy loves you more than anything in the world!

Competition Results!

Well we made it back from the beach, unfortunately. Wish we could have just stayed from then on. But we had a great time and loved every wonderful second with my baby girl. Thursday at competition the girls won 2 Platinum Awards, and a 3rd place for Little Shop of Horrors (jazz) and a 5th place for I've got the music in me (clogging) we were shocked by that, but one of the judges really liked movie and show tunes. Imagine that? Kylan got to go get the awards and she enjoyed that because she got to talk on the microphone and say her name and what studio she was with, she did a super job!
The rest of our trip was spent playing at the beach, the pool, shopping, eating seafood, and visiting a carnival that was at Pier Park. Kylan played on the beach with Darcy(11), Chloe(10), and Amber(9) every day and that was really fun for her. They are all older and in the next class up so she she thought she was something special because she was playing with the big girls! It's funny how the little things matter to them so much. We had fun but we are glad we have a break from dance for a while, you need some down time to be away and enjoy the summer.
The next big thing on our calendar is Kylan's 7th birthday tomorrow! It is hard to believe she has been here that long. I can remember it like yesterday the day she arrived. It was by far the best day of my life and I cherish her everyday. You know what people say is true, after children have been here long enough you forget what you used to do for fun, and what your life was like before you had them. It is so true! I don't really remember a ton about my life before her, granted I remember big events, trips, special occasions and so on, but actual day to day life is all a blurr......... Thank Heaven for Little Girls!

Off we GO!

Well today is the BIG day we are headed to the beach for National Competition! We are so very excited. Kylan helped me pick out her clothes last night and even packed a jewelry bag! It was so cute to watch her accessorize everything. We did some early shopping and bought her all the snacks and drinks she likes yesterday, so we are ready. It has been so long since we have been to the beach together for more than just a long weekend. I am just as excited as she is! Noon can not get here fast enough! I hope you all have a great rest of the week! We are going to try but being at the beach makes it easy. I will post there resluts when we get back.

Rainy Weekend for Us!

Well the weekend started off Rainy! Friday we were supposed to head up to Locust Fork for a swimming/slide party for the dance team, but that was quickly out when the bottom fell out raining on Friday evening. Then our tv show was interrupted with weather reports.(Kylans hates that more than anything) Shortly after the power went out at 8:00pm. We went to the basement and I took the top down on the car and we listened to the weather on the radio, but that did not satisfiy Kylan. She tends to really get very upset during storms. I told her we could go upsatirs and she finally belived me. We tried playing her DS but she had left it on the last time she had played it and the battery was dead. So she threw her hands up and said let's just go to bed.
Saturday didn't start much better. I woke up around 6:30 am to no power still, and decided to take advantage of the rain and dark and we slept till 9:00 am. Breakfast was simple cereal so we could use the new milk, before I had to throw it away. ( I had to throw away so many frozen things, it is such a shame) Then we went to Momma's to use her power to do our hair and make-up, because we had a dance team party at Sassy and Sweet in Hoover. It was so cool, they took the girls and asked them questions about themselves, then they each sat in these big chairs and got the hair, make-up and nails done, then they had a fashion show where they walked down a runway where the mc discussed the question she had previously asked them and were presented a Hawaiian lay. They were to cute.
Kylan decided to go to see her daddy on Saturday since we will be at the beach next weekend for competition, so I had the evening to myself. I went to Stix in Gardendale with friends for a birthday party, and over to Home Field Bar and Grill. For any one who does not know it is a super classy place! (Yeah Right!) When we all walked in you would have thought we had the plague by the way everybody stared at us. But we were over dressed in our heels, and capris, but we had a super fun time, people watching, and dancing!
Sunday after noon Kylan came home and we went to Justice her favorite store and she spent her gift cards and did some retail therapy. It is so much fun to watch her shop and put outfits together, she has such opinions on what looks good together and how she wants to dress. She did pick out a cute outfit skirt and shirt for the beach and even bought accessories to go with it. And wore it when we got home for dinner at the house with Peeps and Ya-Ya, for Peeps birthday party. It was just the 4 of us but she felt great in her new purchase! It was a fun relaxing night with family, the way Sundays! Should be.

We are Soooo EXCITED!!!!

We are so EXCITED about a few things. First we are are so EXCITED about going to the beach next week. We are leaving Wednesday afternoon, heading to Panama City for our National Dance Competition. Kylan can't wait to compete and play on the beach with her classmates at the pool and on the beach. She is just beside herself. We bought her little dance friend a congratulatory gift for her solo competition and Kylan is excited to knock on her door, leave it, and hide so she can watch her be surprised. Little Girls are so awesome!
Secondly, last night at High Fly Kylan had a GREAT night! She worked really hard on her backhand spring and she was doing it into the bit by herself. (Which was nothing new for her) but she asked Mr. Patrick to watch and he did, then he told her to just do it on the tumble track by herself, and she did. OMG!!!!(Oh my God) I was a nervous wreck. I could not believe she was going to do it. He took her down onto the regular gym floor and spoted her with just one finger on her back, and she did it several times. I was so proud of her. I am always proud of her but seeing the excitment and the pleasure on her face because she was pround of herself made it the most wonderful feeling in the world.
After such excitment we had a lazy evening at home. Kylan was tired and we had to finish the cute flip flops we are working on for dance class gifts. Thank goodness those things are done! I thought I had bit off more than I could chew, but I finally completed them and they are precious. Until next time have a great Wednesday Hump Day!

Wonderful Weekend!

Well it was another sunny, fun filled weekend! We headed back up to the lake, where we rode the boat, swam, hung out with friends, and cooked out, it was a blast! Kylan loved it, she was the center of attention as usual. We carried Rosie and Isabell and they were as much in heaven as we were. It was so cute to see them play and explore. We did start the weekend and finished it with competition dance practice. The girls are so ready to head off to compete in Florida next week, and so am I. I can't decide if they are excited about the competion aspect of the trip or being in the same condo complex and being able to play with one another. I think it is the second of the two myself. I will be glad to get away also, I need some sun and relaxing in the sand. Hope you all have a blessed and wonderful work week!

Another Milestone for the Robertson Girls!

Well I have to say we are growing up. Yesterday afternoon Kylan lost one of her top front teeth. Granted this is not our first time to loose a tooth but the two front teeth are the important ones, or so I have been told. With her missing the 2 on the bottom , and now this one, she is Snaggle Tooth Tootie! Her tooth had been loose for weeks and she has been holding on to it, but she finally let it go last night and she did it her self. This was the first one I did not have to pull. And yes I did take pictures, but my internet at home is not working so, the picts. will come later. We will have to see what the Tooth Fairy thought of our tooth.
We ate dinner with my momma last night and it was wonderful! Homemade meat loaf, black eyed peas, cooked carrots, corn sticks, mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy, and chocolate drizzle cake! A true southern home cooked meal. It was Wonderful! Thanks Momma!
I have to say I learned alot last night about priority as a parent. Never underestimate the power of presuasion. I had big plans for this weekend myself, because Kyaln would be at her dad's, but that all changed, due to a supposed spur of the moment trip! But some of us can read between the lines much better than others. If you know what I mean! It can't be spur of the moment it you have appointments planned and the weekend before you make a big deal about when you are actually supposed to have your baby. So, so much for my weekend away from it all. But that is ok, I wouldn't trade being with my precious baby girl for the world! There is nothing more important to me than Kylan and making her happy! It is amazing as real mothers what we will do for the true love of our child! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend full of sun and fun!

A Fun Evening with Friends!

Well yesterday afternoon was full and fun filled. When I got off at 4:00 I hurried to pick Kylan up at Mee-Maw's then run by the house to change clothes, freshen-up, feed, and let the pups out, pack an overnight bag and off again. We were running over to a friends house who sells her daughter's clothes in what she calls Bitsy's Boutique. Bitsy has a daughter, Ree who has the cutest clothes, and Bitsy sells them when Ree grows out of them. They are some of the cutest things! Justice, Limited too, boutique clothing, and who could forget to mention High Fly stuff. It is like being in little girl heaven and because Kylan has taken such a height and foot growth spurt she was finally able to get shoes. I think we bought almost every pair of flip flops she had, we enen got a pair of brand new Nike's for $4.00. I ended up spending $190.00 and when I got home and looked over everything, and guess-timated I had about $2000.00 worth of (some new)/used clothes. Thank goodness for good friends, with daughters near our size, who have great taste!
When we finished there it was off to pick up Ya-Ya, and head to Gadsden for Huston's 16th Birthday Party. Huston is my friend Jeanne's son. We have been hiding his Black Mustang at our house for 2 weeks so we had to see his face when he got it. It was priceless, because we took the top down on my car and put a huge Auburn bow on it. So he thought at first he was getting a lime green convertible, doodlebug! Bless his heart, then they revealed the real car! I remember when I got my first car! And how excited I was, those are memories you cherish for a lifetime. (Thanks to great parents!)
After a great dinner we headed back to Truss-Vegas but not before one last stop. i.e. the overnight bag. I had to drop Kylan off at the BP in Clay, so she could spend the night with cousins Lori and Hailey. They are playing together all day today with each other and Debbie/MeeMee (Lori's mom) So I am assuming Kylan is going to sleep well tonight! She was already tired before we dropped her off. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday! It looks like we are going to have another beautiful sunny weekend to look forward to, I know we are! I am so lucky to have the best little girl in the world I can't wait to pick her up this afternoon!!!!!!!

Finally a Little SUN!!

Well it has been a week since my last post, but it has also been a short week since we had Memorial Day in there. The lake was wonderful, raining, with a few hours of sun, but really fun. We spent the night with Candi, (Miss McConnell) our Kindergarten teacher and Kylan was in heaven being at her lake house, plus she has bunk beds to play on. Miss McConnell is so cool! but we knew that already. Kylan went to school Wednesday and decided to skip Thursday which was really her last day. Can't say I blame her, we really haven't liked our first grade teacher, and we were so very ready to be done with her and first grade for forever. We are looking forward to second grade and having a new teacher, but not just yet. We are ready for some fun in the sun, the pool and adventures at the lake and beach! Kylan is going to be spending the summer with Momma, MeeMaw, and Patsy. So I will shuffling her around all summer. She did not want to attend a summer day camp but I wouldn't want to either, they are just as bad as school.
I am having Kylan's 7th Birthday party tomorrow at Skate Station in Trussville, it is early but we did it so we could share the rink with Kylan's little friend Abby. She is so excited! I took her yesterday and bought Kylan her first pair of roller skates. They are black with hot pink wheels! Now to master the rink.
Our plan this weekend is to relax and enjoy her party, the sun finally being out, actually being able to cut grass and the wonderful smell afterward, and life with the best little girl in the world! I am so blessed to be her Mommy and enjoy her everyday of my life. Hope you all have a SUNNY, WARM, weekend!

Ready for the weekend!

Well I am still learning about this whole blog thing and hope to have photos uploaded very soon. Kylan and I are preparing for a Memorial Day weekend at the lake, the forecast is calling for rain, but we are not going to let that stop us from having fun. A little water never hurt anyone! Kylan's first grade school year is coming to a close and her class is having their Pirate Party and Scavenger Hunt this morning. She was so excited. We braided her hair and she wore her ban-dana, loop earrings, a black shirt, with a skelton jacket over it and her most comfortbale jeans which now have a hole in the knee, just like Mommies jeans. It is amazing how much she can want to be just like me one second, and say Momma!!!!!!!!!!!! Like I am a total moron the next. Guess that is just part of the growing up process. I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Memorial Day Weekend! We are going to try to ourselves and I will hopefully get those photos on here over the weekend.

Created a Blog Today!

Hey there!
I decided today to create a blog page today for myself and Kylan. There are so many fun things we do from day to day, that no one sees, such as Kylan learning to ride her bike, (taught by Mommy) playing outside, reading, and just being girls. I wanted to do this for her, to add to the many momories we already share, that have made us so close.
